Through rigorous and consistent monitoring, we strive to ensure that our work is data-driven, efficient, transparent, and aligned with the objectives set for each year, using our OKR (Objectives and Key Results) system.
What is an impact tracking system?
An impact tracking system is a tool that allows for the structured recording of how each action and resource contributes to bringing about concrete changes. This type of methodology makes it possible to organize work into different stages, taking into account elements such as the resources used, the activities carried out, the results obtained, and the impact achieved.
At Te Protejo, we’ve developed an agile tool focused on our top priorities. Each impact record is directly linked to one of the OKRs defined for each year, ensuring that activities, results, and impacts are not just data, but concrete progress toward our strategy.
Each impact is linked to five dimensions:
Individual: Measures how our actions encourage people to stay informed, get involved, or make more conscious decisions.
Institutional: Analyzes changes in policies, regulations, or public statements by brands, government agencies, and other institutions.
Community: Refers to collective action, including signing petitions, participating in activities, community growth, and other similar actions.
Intersectionality: Highlights cross-cutting impacts by linking each action to complementary issues such as animal welfare, veganism, human health, gender equality, and climate change.
Organizational: Reflects the internal strengthening of the organization, including progress in governance, team development, financial sustainability, and transparency.

At the end of each month, we update our impact tracking system, which ensures that up-to-date information is available for decision-making. In this way, the tracker becomes a dynamic tool that facilitates continuous learning, strategic adaptation, and accountability—both for our team and for our audiences.
Quality Assurance
To ensure the consistency, reliability, and transparency of our information, we have a review process in place before data is entered. This process includes standardized criteria, periodic reviews, and internal controls. Thanks to these mechanisms, we ensure that each record is accurate and useful for decision-making, allowing us to consistently evaluate the impact of our actions.
