Trapper: Pet Care and Grooming
This article details my experience using the Guava Baya skincare kit. This line stands out for being formulated with murta, a fruit from Patagonia known for its remarkable moisturizing, antioxidant, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory properties.
It is important to note that every animal has specific needs and may react differently to products, so it is always recommended to consult a veterinarian before making any changes to your pet’s hygiene routine.
Tuna Melon Wet Wipes
The first product evaluated was prickly pear melon-scented wet wipes. This format was chosen because of the Dachshund breed’s tendency to develop skin allergies. Following a veterinarian’s recommendation, we sought a quick and safe alternative for cleaning the pet after walks (especially when it gets dirty with dirt or mud), given that it is not feasible to give the dog a full bath on a regular basis.
These wipes stand out because they are alcohol-free and hypoallergenic. After prolonged use, the product proved to be extremely gentle on the animal’s paws, effectively cleaning them without drying out the skin. Additionally, it offers excellent value for the price, with 60 wipes per package.

Aloe Vera Shampoo
The second product tested was the aloe vera shampoo. Although the initial results were very positive, as the pet grew, it developed dandruff and itching due to increased sensitivity to external agents (such as grass) and episodes of anxiety. On the advice of a professional, it was necessary to discontinue its use and switch to a specialized oatmeal formula for highly allergic dogs.
However, for pets without skin problems, this product comes highly recommended. It offers a generous amount for the price and has a wonderful scent.
Mango Dry Shampoo
Finally, because this breed is particularly sensitive to the cold, we tested the mango dry shampoo from the same brand.
This product proved to be an excellent tool during the transition period before we began bathing the pet with water, standing out for its pleasant scent. Although we had to stop using it later due to the severe allergic reaction mentioned earlier, it stands out as a highly recommended alternative for maintaining hygiene during the coldest months of the year, while avoiding exposing animals to low temperatures.
Conclusions and Availability
Overall, Trapper is a highly recommended brand that stands out for living up to the promise of being a product that is "good, attractive, and affordable." Its product lines are easily accessible, available at supermarkets, pet stores, and chains such as SuperZoo, with prices typically under 3,000 CLP per item.
